Room with an amazing view

Why did you choose Webbs Kitchens?

We chose Webbs Kitchens because we know the family, we were all at the Yacht Club together. We’ve driven past the store often enough so we just went in and had a look, and liked what we saw. Then Ben came out and had a look at the space and did a design which we were completely happy with, we didn’t change anything. He discussed it with us as it was progressing and we actually, simply took on board everything he said.

How was the design Process?

We relied on Ben very heavily for recommendations, not having had much experience of designing kitchens before. We discussed the colours with him and went for the gloss white because if it is white you can see if it’s dirty and if it’s gloss you can wipe it down easily. It has kept it looking very fresh and it’s still very clean I think.

how did you choose your appliances?

When it came to the appliances again Ben had lots of recommendations which we discussed with him.

We like the way the hob takes in all the fumes, we haven’t had any problems despite this being a big room, with smells from cooking.

We like the Quooker tap, that works really well for us. The oven arrangement is handy, everything is very easy to work with, everything is close to hand and there is plenty of space for every thing you need. We even have a cupboard for waste, you don’t have to have a waste basket out spoiling the aesthetic, its all tucked away in the cupboards. The dishwasher and everything all in this same little area, its very neat and easy to use.

We chose the Bora hob in the end with Ben because it has a very strong recycling system so we didn’t have to have an external pipe for that which would have caused problems with heat loss. And we find it works very well, very neat, there is no rising extractor or anything like that, so we have been very pleased with it.

How did the kitchen insallation go?

Because the house is a new build and this is the first and only kitchen it’s had, it was installed before we moved in. There were workman around who could help with carrying things in and out.

It was very quick, very easy, we were able to do things like the wooden floor after the installation so that worked really well for us. I presume it’s different if you already have the house and you’ve got to worry about where you are going to do all your cooking whilst it’s being installed, we didn’t have any of that.

what is your favourite part of the kitchen?

What’s your favourite bit?

The hob.

I like this bit at the end where we can sit every morning and read the paper and have our breakfast and look at the views, that’s my favourite.

We did your bedroom too, how did that come about?

During the process of having the kitchen installed we realised that Webbs also do wardrobes and cupboards and so on, so we got talking about that, I think it was Brian who had a look and we just went ahead

We went into the store and had a look at what the options were and all the bits and pieces that could come with it. We made choice very quickly, again primarily based on the advice we got from Webbs, it was great, it worked very well.

Would you recommend Webbs kitchens?

I’d definitely recommend, would you?

Yes, yes, yes, absolutely.

Absolutely, it was just so easy, so straightforward. I like the fact that everyone worked in your home kept it clean and tidy, there was no mess, and they were all nice people too, and we are very very happy with the result.
